Family Sponsorship

The Government of Canada is firmly committed to keeping the families together, for which they have allowed families to be sponsored for Canadian immigration. If a Canadian permanent resident or citizen has a family member whom they want to immigrate to Canada, they can sponsor them. Reuniting the family remains one of the pillars of the Canadian immigration system.

The Canadian government offers various sponsorship programs for Canadian citizens or permanent residence holders to sponsor the dependent family members. When the dependents attain the Canadian PR status, they can live, study or work in Canada.
