Super Visa

The Super Visa in Canada allows grandparents and parents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit Canada country for an extended period.

This is a multi-entry visa that offers multiple entries for 10 years period. The main difference in this Super Visa is that it allows an individual to stay for up to 2 years at a time in Canada. On the other hand, a 10-year multiple entry visa will only have status provide for each entry of 6 months only.

Who is eligible for Super Visa?

If you want to apply for Super Visa for Canada, you must be the grandparents or parents of permanent residents or Canadian citizens. Also, you must meet the following criteria:

You must have a signed letter from your grandchild or child who invites you to Canada that includes:

 A promise letter of financial support for the duration of your visit.

 The number and list of people in the household of this person.

 A copy of this person’s Canadian citizenship or permanent resident document

You must have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company which is:

 Valid for 1 year at least from the date of entry

 At least coverage of $100,000

 Provide proof that shows that you have paid for your medical insurance.

Also, you must:

Apply for a Super Visa from outside Canada

Take an immigration medical exam

Be allowed to enter Canada

Meet certain other conditions

You cannot include dependants in this application.

Funds’ proof (Financial support):

The grandchild or child who invites you must prove that their household meets the minimum necessary income.

Here are some of the examples of documents that can be used as proof of funds:

You must have a signed letter from your grandchild or child who invites you to Canada that includes:

 NOA (Notice of Assessment) or T4/T1 for the latest tax year

 Bank statements

 Pay stubs

 Employment letter that includes the date of hiring and salary

The rate of approval for this Canadian Super Visa is around 83%. If you are approved for this visa, It takes about 8 days up to 45 or 50 days for the Super Visa to get processing.
